'The Charity Shop' is a project created by Shannon Conley in collaboration with artists Sardine & Tobleroni, from 'The Monkey in the Box Company'. In lieu of keeping the theme of charitable causes, the artists are using a unique style to illustrate contemporary global issues surrounding children in need. Working together on the same paintings, using what was acquired from charity shops as base for new pieces: transforming classic artwork and adding new meanings relevant to the art exhibit and charity event. A portion of the profits will be shared with Humanitarian Aid Relief Trust (HART) founded by Baroness Caroline Cox and Green Tara Trust (GTT) founded by Dr. Jane Stephens. Working in collaboration with these two remarkable women, their charities, and the artists, we hope to raise awareness and provoke change along with generating a positive impact during this event for all those involved.
